wonderful friendly staff with superb breakfast options to brighten your day

Warm welcome, fresh breakfast, lovely stay!

The staff were welcoming and friendly, creating a pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit. the bedroom was in need of significant refurbishment, with a musty smell and visible wear that detracted from the experience. Ordering food was disappointing, particularly the prawn marie rose served on dry bread with an odd pairing of gravy. The breakfast setup was also inconvenient, requiring a trek to another area just to access basic items. These factors overshadowed some otherwise good aspects of the stay.

Family with children fantastic stay

Staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome right from check-in. The breakfast team was really pleasant and despite being busy, they greeted us with smiles, which is a nice touch, you know. Cream of the crop, I must say. My kids loved the comfortable room and clean environment—felt just like home.

The Toby Carvery’s breakfast had me buzzing! All-you-can-eat goodness that got my day rolling. Plus, the room was clean and modern, proper spick and span! Massive bonus for the ample on-site parking too.

On the flip side, dinner was a letdown. The meat was tough and everything tasted a tad bland. The noise from other guests and the bins outside early morning didn’t help the vibe either. Was hoping for a bit more chill!

The bathroom left something to be desired, particularly in terms of appearance, which made using the shower less than enjoyable. the noise levels varied throughout the night, which might be bothersome for light sleepers, considering the thin walls. I also found the breakfast options to be limited, and additional costs for tea felt a bit excessive on top of the room charge.

Can just recommend for a fleeting stay

Comfortable room, convenient location, with free parking and a nice breakfast that included a hearty cooked option, all just 5 minutes' drive from the M5 motorway.

the breakfast was the usual toby and it was well cooked with lots to choose from. enjoyed the sausages and fried eggs, specially since the yokes were still soft. the room was comfy and had all the basic amenities needed for a solo traveler. the staff were super friendly and helpful, made me feel welcome.

the check-in took a bit long since nobody was at reception initially, and the building feels kinda dated, could use a refresh for sure.
